The staff at Meadowlawn is prepared and ready to help you preplan your arrangements, and avoid putting the burden on your spouse or children when the time comes.
There are four topics which must be addressed to assure full preparation. These items are your space, vault, interment, and choosing a marker. Remember by setting everything up prior to the time of need, you can arrange your service just the way you will want it to be.
The space you choose is the first step. Some people want to be in the sun, some under a shade tree. This choice can be made by talking to staff and seeing what they recommend or we can meet at Meadowlawn to choose a site. Do you have friends or family there already? You may want to look into a place close to them. Meadowlawn is a perpetual care cemetery. What Is perpetual care? Perpetual care is an assurance to you that Meadowlawn Memorial Park will be taken care of for eternity. A portion of the price from each plot purchased is placed into a perpetual care fund so that each plot will be maintained along with the landscaping, roadways and everything within the cemetery.
The next step is choosing a vault. We carry two basic types, a concrete vault and a tri-lined vault. The concrete vault is the standard that the majority of people get. It is a very thick protective reinforced vault with a seal that holds up quite well. The tri-lined is also a reinforced concrete design, but has an additional barrier as one more defense to protect against the elements.
Interments is the opening, closing and service of the funeral at Meadowlawn. Interments can be done as a pre-need purchase also. When the interment is a pre-need purchase it can be used on any day of the week, not just Monday through Friday.
Last on the list is a marker. We can do anything from photos and additional emblems to standard name and vase. The thing to really think about on this one is do you need an individual marker or a companion marker? Individual markers are generally used for individuals, or people that are single and will not have a spouse buried next to them. The companion marker is for those who have gone before their spouse and plan to have the spouse with them when the time comes.
We understand there will still be questions so please feel free to contact us with them. We will be happy to set up an appointment to get everything you need taken care of.
